As we know there are two types of cholesterol: “bad” LDL and “good” HDL. The first can cause the formation of plaques in the arteries, known with the name of atherosclerosis, which is responsible for heart attacks and strokes. The second one works as a scavenger LDL: Drag these proteins in the liver, where they are destroyed and expelled from our body. This process can reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke.

Follow a healthy diet, exercising and not smoking are all ways of life that are lower bad cholesterol. Now, this research shows that even moderate alcohol intake protects the good cholesterol.

For moderate means by means of a glass for women and from one to two per day for men. The experts noted that precisely in the category of moderate drinkers you showed a slower decline of good cholesterol, compared to all others.

The alcohol works best in this action is the beer. As for the wine the researchers point out that they were too few people who drank it analyzed to see if it actually works.
